Global Health Security & Pandemic Resilience

Global Health Security & Pandemic Resilience focuses on strengthening the ability of health systems to prepare for, detect, respond to, and recover from major public health emergencies. The session examines surveillance networks, laboratory preparedness, emergency planning, healthcare workforce capacity, and international cooperation. Rapid information exchange, predictive analytics, genomic surveillance, vaccination programs, medical supply preparedness, and coordinated communication can support timely responses to health emergencies. Strengthening healthcare infrastructure and surge capacity is also important for maintaining essential services during crises. Building resilient health systems requires continuous planning, investment, training, and evaluation. These efforts can improve preparedness for future outbreaks and other large-scale health emergencies while supporting the protection of vulnerable populations.
